Berkay Yıldırım, an alumnus of the Civil Engineering Department at Özyeğin University, was invited to speak at the International Conference on Trustworthy Digital Infrastructure, held in September 2025 by The Alan Turing Institute, the UK’s national institute for data science and artificial intelligence.
Berkay Yıldırım presented his research paper “Architecting for Autonomy: A Federated and Explainable AI Blueprint for UK Public Services” at the Royal Institution. Proposing a sovereign AI framework for the UK government, Yıldırım’s research paper has been selected for publication by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET).
Our alumnus Yıldırım currently works as a Software Engineer at MindWalk, a US-based global biotechnology company redefining biologics discovery. Simultaneously, he founded TensorSphere, a London-based consultancy firm where he specializes in “Sovereign AI” and trustworthy cloud architectures, delivering scalable and regulation-compliant AI solutions in the United Kingdom.
