The IEEE Türkiye Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has awarded Prof. H. Fatih Uğurdağ, a faculty member in the Electrical-Electronics Engineering Department at Özyeğin University, the 2024 IEEE Türkiye Outstanding Service Award.

This prestigious distinction recognizes long-standing, exceptional, and sustainable contributions to the field of engineering, the IEEE community, and volunteer service. Prof. Uğurdağ was honored with the Outstanding Service Award in recognition of his extensive academic, technical, and administrative leadership within the Institute, as well as his strong commitment to community building and professional development.

Throughout his academic career, Prof. Uğurdağ has conducted teaching and research in areas including digital design, FPGA and chip design, and computer architectures. Through the students he has mentored and his national and international academic studies, he has made significant contributions to his field. In parallel, he has played an active role in numerous IEEE volunteer initiatives, consistently supporting the professional development of young engineers and researchers.
