Özyeğin University hosted the 10th International Conference on Ultrafine-Grained and Nanostructured Materials (UFGNSM 2026), welcoming world-renowned researchers and industry leaders in the field of advanced materials technologies. Organized by the Additive Manufacturing Alloys Development, Application, and Research Center (KİMTAL) and chaired by Prof. Güney Güven Yapıcı, the event brought together leading academics, researchers, and industry representatives from around the world. The conference explored the latest research on advanced materials, nanostructured materials, next-generation alloys, and additive manufacturing technologies used in strategic fields including aviation, defense, energy, and biomedicine.
The program featured distinguished invited speakers from some of the world’s leading institutions, including the University of California, Santa Barbara (UC Santa Barbara), the University of New Mexico, the City University of Hong Kong, the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials, Osaka University, and the École de Technologie Supérieure (ÉTS).
Fostering international knowledge exchange and interdisciplinary collaboration, UFGNSM 2026 contributed to the development of new research partnerships while further strengthening Özyeğin University’s global research networks in advanced materials technologies.
