Dear Members and Esteemed Stakeholders of Özyeğin University,

Since our founding, Özyeğin University has embraced the belief that knowledge is a transformative force that forges new paths and creates a lasting impact. In pursuit of our vision to become an “Entrepreneurial Research University with a Global Impact,” we put research at the center as a core driver of social, economic, and technological transformation.

Earlier this year, we shared our newsletter Beyond with you, highlighting our initiatives during the 2025 Fall semester. Today, it is my pleasure to introduce our latest newsletter, Beyond Research. This newsletter is designed to showcase OzU’s dynamic research ecosystem, culture of interdisciplinary collaboration, and research initiatives with high global impact.

At Özyeğin University, research thrives beyond our campus, within an ecosystem enriched by partnerships with industry, the public sector, civil society, and international networks. By combining academic rigor with an entrepreneurial mindset, we move forward with unwavering commitment toward our goal of developing new solutions across a broad spectrum, from artificial intelligence and sustainability to urban planning and agricultural technologies.

We recognize that achieving lasting impact as a university requires producing knowledge. Yet, we need to put that knowledge into action, address real-world needs, and develop models with global relevance. At Özyeğin University, building strong and sustainable bridges between academia and industry is a strategic priority. We are committed to ensuring that our research outputs translate into economic value, become ventures, and deliver tangible benefits to society.

In this inaugural issue of Beyond Research, you will explore our university’s priority research areas, interdisciplinary projects, and strategic collaborations. Each study we share is a testament to our robust culture of collaboration and impact-driven approach to knowledge production.
