Özyeğin University has been awarded funding under Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Centers of Excellence for its new project BRIDGE: Building Research and Innovation in Identity, Diversity, and Governance in Europe. Led by Prof. Deniz S. Sert and Prof. Evren Balta from the International Relations Department, the BRIDGE project will establish a hub for interdisciplinary research, education, and policy dialogue on key challenges facing Europe today, including migration, digital transformation, climate change, and democratic governance.

The project will integrate new courses into OzU curricula, develop a research-driven Democracy Lab, and bring together students, policymakers, and civil society through workshops, policy briefs, and public events. This significant achievement will further strengthen OzU’s contributions to European studies, democratic resilience, and sustainable governance.
