Assoc. Prof. Zeynep Başaran Bundur, Chair of the Civil Engineering Department, has been honored with the Dr. Akın Çakmakcı Pioneer Researcher Award, presented by the Technology Development Foundation of Türkiye (TTGV) as part of its 2026 TTGV Awards.

Assoc. Prof. Başaran Bundur received the award in recognition of her innovative research and outstanding scientific contributions in sustainable cement, as well as sustainable and adaptive materials.

Presented during TTGV Day, the TTGV Awards honor researchers, institutions, civil society organizations, and leaders who have driven transformative change in climate technologies over the past five years. Bringing together stakeholders from the public sector, private sector, academia, and entrepreneurship ecosystem, the awards aim to recognize outstanding contributions to scientific and technological progress in climate technologies.
