Dr. Başak Ozan Özparlak, a faculty member in our Faculty of Law, has once again been named to the “100 Brilliant and Inspiring Women in 6G” list compiled by the Women in 6G community. With her second consecutive selection in 2026, Dr. Özparlak remains the first and only legal professional to have been named to the list for two consecutive years.

Dr. Özparlak’s recognition showcases the value of looking beyond the technological dimensions of transformation to embrace a more holistic perspective—one that considers its legal, ethical, governance, and social implications. Her achievement also highlights the strength of Özyeğin University’s interdisciplinary research approach and its growing international visibility.
