The “Women in the Workplace” podcast series, launched jointly by Özyeğin University’s Gender Office, the Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV), and Equality Matters (Eşitliğe Değer), is creating a new space for dialogue on gender equality in the workplace, examining its structural and systemic dimensions. Serving as a powerful testament to the University’s unwavering commitment to connecting academic knowledge with social impact, the series brings together experts from diverse disciplines on a shared platform.
The podcast explores women’s experiences in the workplace through the lenses of social and economic policy, organizational culture, legal frameworks, and social norms. Key topics including artificial intelligence, leadership, decision-making and promotion processes, unconscious bias, care work, and change management are examined from multiple perspectives, drawing on insights from academics, civil society representatives, and experts across a range of fields.
The series also aims to bring Özyeğin University’s research on gender equality to broader audiences. Throughout the podcast series, findings from academic studies such as the 2025 study “Impact of Care Work and Mental Load on White-Collar Employees” are linked to current workplace debates, fostering dialogue that can contribute to lasting and inclusive transformation in working life.
